Even an acid trip being acted on stage reminds me of you.

And then I went home and watched Gossip Girl for a mental break, and the way Blair and Chuck talk to each other... that reminds me of you also.

    See Emily Play
Emily tries but misunderstands, ah ooh
She's often inclined to borrow somebody's dreams till tomorrow
    There is no other day
    Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play

    See Emily play

Soon after dark Emily cries, ah ooh
Gazing through trees in sorrow hardly a sound till tomorrow

    There is no other day
    Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play
    Free games for May
    See Emily play

Put on a gown that touches the ground, ah ooh
Float down a river forever and ever, Emily, Emily

So I'm sitting in my room, minding my own business, when from outside I hear my suitemate and some of her friends singing the Barney the Purple Dinosaur song. With very Asian accents.

    I don't understand.

[EDIT]: now they're singing Oops I did it Again.

I didn't think she drank? what?

    Oh boy. <3
Me- *at about 11:30 pm* I'm hungry.
Sam- me too. I'm going to go make me some fish sticks. *makes the fish sticks*
Me- how are those fish sticks?
Sam- oh this is fantastically delicious. I need a little snack before going to bed.

    [...]

Me- *about 12:10 am* well I have to go do some stuff before I go to bed, but if you want to, you can call me back in 15 minutes or so.
Sam- ok, I'll call you at 12:25. at exactly 12:25.

    *both hang up the phone*
    *at 12:17 phone rings*

    Me- you're early.
Sam- I'm early? well I'm ready for bed. my teeth can't get any cleaner.
Me- well, I've not brushed mine yet because I'm eating a cookie.
    Sam- ooh a cookie!
    [...]
Me- yeah... I'm making an apple crisp on Thursday or Friday, I think.
Sam- yum.. oh stop, you're making me hungry and I just brushed my teeth.
Me- ... you just ate a bunch of fish sticks.
Sam- yes well, I'm a guy. Guys can eat 10000 fish sticks and then still want a pizza.

So true. Although I could eat a whole bunch of delicious cookies and and still want something else. Or a whole bunch of The Cheese.

Mmmmmmmmm The Cheese. I WANT SOME.

I'm kind of excited to go back home for summer, just so I can eat The Cheese all summer long. <3

So apparently I still have no place to live next year.

Why is it that the one time my phone rang today, it was the stupid FIDO survey person who wouldn't take no for an answer when I told him no, I didn't want his promotion?

    do it.

In other happenings, I'm reading Der Vorleser again for German lit... I read it last year and very much enjoyed it, and now I have to read it again for this class, and I still very much like it, but I'm a little behind in the rereading of it because I have so much other work and I already know the story, so it was ok...

But I really like thisCollapse ),

and I think it's a really nice and meaningful passage. SPOILER is contained kind of, but only a handful of you can read the German... but I highly recommend this book to both German and non-German speakers. It's been translated into over 39 world languages, and there will be a movie of it coming out in December (alas, I think it's a Hollywood movie, but there are German actors in it..). It's called "The Reader" in English. Check it out.

Welcome to my Week of Hell.

In other news, my facebook is bilingual. This disturbed the hell out of me, because I was really tired, having just done a bunch of stuff all day, then taken a practice calc midterm in which my tiredness induced false copying of the equations and writing the wrong number for completely no reason where it didn't make sense. The calculus was all correct though, which is a feat which still manages to astound me. I found this whole thing hilarious afterwards.

So then I checked my mail and someone'd sent me a facebook message or something. So I went to it and looked at the homepage first and then clicked on "Anzeige" or something. And then I went to the event someone had invited me to and was about to click "nehme nicht teil" when I realized that it wasn't in English. And so I thought "OMG I'M SO TIRED THAT I'M HALLUCINATING IN GERMAN!!!!" And this disturbed me greatly. Until I realized that my entire facebook was in German and that I was (probably) not hallucinating it. How it got to be in German I do not know. It wasn't in German when I had checked it an hour prior to. So.... it is a mystery. But my facebook now speaks the language of the Germans.

    That is all.

    Well wow...
So um. I went to my page to post an entry to find out that three people have already written the same one.

So see Jenna, the girl I met on the ferry to Greece, and Lauren, who will all tell you the same thing in a row on my friends page.

Yeah, Heath Ledger's dead. Considering the first number of my age now corresponds with the first number of his age, it's kind of frightening. I loved his movies when I was younger... (not to mention looking at him... XD still do. I almost watched 10 Things I hate about you, which I think is my favourite.

I remember when Em and I used to rave about him all the time. o.o

    it's all very odd.

    Thoughts.
Fred and I are going for a beer! a beer a beer a beer a beer!

I really feel like writing a musical about beer and making a little dance to go along with the word.

He's going back to Germany and I am not..... :(

and because bio is DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE I can go and have a bierchen!

what's left: paper, final, final. ick.

holiday shopping as well. boys are hard to shop for. I just bought 4 presents for the boys at home... (Collin, Andre, Mark, Steve) hee. they're amusing.

hey Allie, which of those people do you not speak to? (just so that I know... I mean, I probably don't speak to them either... most of them stopped corresponding.)

It snowed in New England! And Charles said it's going to stick! Poor boy, has a red-eye 4-transfer flight back to New Hampshire... I'm glad I don't have to fly to Manchester then.

10 days until I am HOOOOOME!
dinner and a movie is right man, and you should pay. ;)

and it is NOT a love letter.

and it's unfair that Leo can put his leg up above his head.... and how flexible Ryan is. That one is disturbing. Though he does make a very attractive Draco Malfoy. too bad he's gay. (nah, he's too femme for me anyway.)

Swati said it was raining men. I said that, alas, it was not, because none have fallen from the sky and landed on me. She pointed out that this was probably a good thing because that would hurt. I agree.

It makes me very sad that at university, people don't make Snowmen, but giant erect snow penises.

in addition to my wishes I wish for a really cool hat.

If I were a textbook writer...
I'd definitely put in sentences in the books just to make people look twice at them every once in a while, and then they'd burst into laughter. Just because everyone needs a little joy in their textbook reading careers.

Here are a few for your enjoyment:

"For instance, no matter how much you enlarge your biceps by lifting weights, muscle cells in your arms do not transmit genetic information to your gametes, and your offspring will not be changed by your weight-lifting efforts." -my biology textbook

"The action must not be a simple restating of the answer to the first question, What is the character literally doing? This is because you will never be able to believe that you are the character you are playing. It is simply not possible, unless you are dangerously psychotic, and if that is the case, this book will be of little use to you." -A Practical Handbook for the Actor

    That is all.

I am getting FAT. FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT.

alas. but knowing that I am getting fat is still not really influencing my eating habits. I still eat all the time. and then I think afterward about how I shouldn't have eaten what I just ate because I already ate too much......... ugh.

Anyway, I saw Hedwig and the Angry Inch last night. Grace, you would like that movie.

I just got a letter. I had a sudden urge to write a poem about it, but no words came.

Perhaps I'm not in a poetic mood. Or, perhaps I don't have any words to describe this letter.

It is the letter that I most wanted and wanted the least.

It is the letter that I hadn't anticipated, but that I'd been dreading.

I recognized the design from inside my mailbox and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

And now it's sitting here, next to my watch, my keys, my tickets to various events, my little pig from Amy, and a banana.

I liked the ending of Draco Veritas, now that I managed to finish it.
I also finished like, 14 timbits today. I'm such a pig.

I like that my favourite character ends up with who I wanted her to. Of course, there would have been another choice for her... alas, he was taken by a character I understand well but don't particularly like.

    And then there's this letter...
